This is the starting price for the least extensive suitable pathway in this category, covering the mandatory pathway components rather than a clinic-only fee. Flights and specialist medical travel insurance are not included.

About this pathway

A considered breast augmentation pathway

Breast augmentation uses implants to add volume to the breast. It is a personal decision, and the pathway is structured so that you have time to prepare, a calm environment in which to recover, and clear aftercare guidance once you return to the UK.

Your pathway is shaped around your medical information, your preferred travel timeframe and what is suitable following surgeon review. We coordinate the practical elements so you can focus on preparing well and recovering calmly.

Important considerations

  • Augmentation adds volume; it does not lift a breast that has descended significantly.
  • Implants are medical devices and further surgery may be needed at some point in the future.
  • Sensation, scarring and healing patterns vary between patients.
  • Final implant selection, surgical plan and total price are confirmed after surgeon consultation.

Understanding breast augmentation

What breast augmentation involves

Augmentation mammoplasty places an implant to increase breast volume and, in many cases, to improve upper-pole fullness or address a difference in volume between the two sides. Implant position, incision placement and surgical approach are selected by Dr Mariam V. Manukyan according to your anatomy, tissue cover and goals. Augmentation adds volume; it does not lift a breast that has descended significantly. Where meaningful ptosis is present, the surgeon may discuss a breast lift, or a combined breast lift with augmentation, as a separate clinical procedure.

Also referred to as Augmentation mammoplasty, Breast implant surgery, Breast enlargement.

Implant selection

Different implant options are available. The exact manufacturer, model, size and profile are confirmed with Dr Mariam following consultation, together with the final surgical plan and written total price. Implant choice is a clinical decision based on your anatomy, tissue cover and goals — a different implant option is not presented as safer or clinically superior, and selection is not made on price alone.

Often suitable where

  • Breast development complete and body weight broadly stable
  • Seeking additional volume rather than repositioning of the breast
  • Good general health, with any relevant conditions well controlled
  • Non-smoking, or able to stop well in advance of surgery as advised
  • Understands that implants are medical devices that may require further surgery in the future

Usually not appropriate where

  • Significant breast descent (ptosis), where a lift or a combined procedure may be discussed instead
  • Unresolved breast lumps or imaging findings awaiting investigation
  • Currently pregnant or breastfeeding, or planning either in the near future
  • Expecting a specific cup size, guaranteed symmetry or a fixed scar outcome

These points are general guidance only. Suitability is decided by Dr Mariam V. Manukyan after reviewing your photographs and medical information, and may differ in your case.

Recovery timeline

How recovery typically unfolds

An indicative guide to breast augmentation recovery. Individual healing varies, and your own timeline is confirmed by your surgeon.

  1. Immediately after

Monitored recovery in hospital, with dressings and a supportive surgical bra. The length of admission is confirmed by your surgeon.

  2. Early days

Clinic-based recovery in Yerevan with regular doctor review, limited arm movement and a wound check before travel is discussed.

  3. Weeks 2–6

Many patients return to light, desk-based work within the first few weeks. Lifting, impact exercise and chest-focused training remain restricted as advised.

  4. Months 3–12

Swelling settles, implant position softens and scars fade gradually. The settled result is usually judged over many months.

Common questions

Breast Augmentation in Armenia — questions patients ask

Answers reflect how this pathway is planned in practice. Anything clinical is confirmed individually at surgeon review.

Augmentation adds volume with an implant. A breast lift (mastopexy) repositions and reshapes existing tissue without adding volume. Where both volume and position are concerns, Dr Mariam may discuss a combined breast lift with augmentation as a separate clinical procedure.
