About this pathway

A considered breast lift pathway

A breast lift reshapes existing breast tissue. The pathway is designed to give you time, privacy and a comfortable environment in which to recover before returning to the UK.

Your pathway is shaped around your medical information, your preferred travel timeframe and what is suitable following surgeon review. We coordinate the practical elements so you can focus on preparing well and recovering calmly.

Important considerations

  • Suitability depends on tissue assessment by your surgeon.
  • Scarring patterns vary and will be discussed before surgery.
  • Final plan is confirmed after clinical review.

Understanding breast lift

What breast lift involves

Mastopexy raises and reshapes the breast by removing excess skin and repositioning the nipple-areola complex; it does not add volume. Patients often consider it after pregnancy, breastfeeding or weight change, where the breast has descended but volume is acceptable. The degree of ptosis identified at assessment determines whether a periareolar, vertical or inverted-T approach is appropriate. Where added upper-pole fullness is the primary goal, Dr Mariam Manukyan will explain honestly that a lift alone will not achieve it.

Also referred to as Mastopexy, Breast uplift.

Often suitable where

  • Breast descent (ptosis) with reasonable existing volume
  • Stable weight, with family planning complete or paused
  • Realistic expectations that a lift reshapes rather than enlarges
  • Able to avoid lifting and impact exercise for several weeks

Usually not appropriate where

  • Seeking a significant increase in size from a lift alone
  • Planning pregnancy or breastfeeding in the near future, which can alter the result
  • Poor skin quality where the surgeon judges the result unlikely to hold

These points are general guidance only. Suitability is decided by Dr Mariam V. Manukyan after reviewing your photographs and medical information, and may differ in your case.

Recovery timeline

How recovery typically unfolds

An indicative guide to breast lift recovery. Individual healing varies, and your own timeline is confirmed by your surgeon.

  1. Days 1–3

Short hospital admission, dressings and a supportive bra fitted before discharge.

  2. Days 4–10

Clinic-based recovery in Yerevan with gentle movement and a wound check before travel.

  3. Weeks 2–6

Light activity resumes for most patients within two weeks; support bra worn continuously as advised.

  4. Months 3–12

Shape settles and scars fade. Some natural descent over the years is normal and is not a complication.

Common questions

Breast Lift in Armenia — questions patients ask

Answers reflect how this pathway is planned in practice. Anything clinical is confirmed individually at surgeon review.

A mastopexy repositions and reshapes existing tissue with little change in volume. A reduction removes tissue to reduce size. Some patients are advised that a combination is more appropriate for their anatomy.
