This is the starting price for the least extensive suitable pathway in this category, covering the mandatory pathway components rather than a clinic-only fee. Flights and specialist medical travel insurance are not included.

About this pathway
A considered face lift pathway
Face lift surgery is a personal decision. Your pathway is built around quiet, considered recovery in Armenia, with clear pre and post-operative guidance and a structured return-home plan.
Your pathway is shaped around your medical information, your preferred travel timeframe and what is suitable following surgeon review. We coordinate the practical elements so you can focus on preparing well and recovering calmly.
Important considerations
- Final technique is selected by your surgeon after assessment.
- Swelling and bruising resolve over weeks to months.
- Discreet recovery time is built into the pathway.
Understanding face lift
What face lift involves
A rhytidectomy repositions the deeper facial tissues and removes excess skin along the jawline, cheeks and neck. Most contemporary approaches address the SMAS layer rather than tightening skin alone, which is what keeps the result looking natural in movement. Incisions are usually placed within the hairline and around the ear so that they settle discreetly. A face lift addresses laxity; it does not change skin texture or pigmentation, and Dr Mariam Manukyan will say clearly where surgery is not the right answer for a particular concern.
Also referred to as Rhytidectomy, SMAS face lift, Facial rejuvenation surgery.
Often suitable where
- Visible laxity of the mid-face, jawline or neck rather than surface skin concerns
- Good general health and non-smoking status before surgery
- Willing to allow a discreet recovery period before public or work commitments
- Understands that ageing continues after surgery
Usually not appropriate where
- Expecting a change in skin quality, pigmentation or fine surface lines
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure, which increases bruising and bleeding risk
- Unable to protect the result by avoiding smoking and sun exposure
These points are general guidance only. Suitability is decided by Dr Mariam V. Manukyan after reviewing your photographs and medical information, and may differ in your case.
Recovery timeline
How recovery typically unfolds
An indicative guide to face lift recovery. Individual healing varies, and your own timeline is confirmed by your surgeon.
Days 1–2
Short hospital stay with head elevation, cold compresses and monitoring.
Days 3–10
Quiet clinic-based recovery in Yerevan; sutures and dressings reviewed before travel is confirmed.
Weeks 2–4
Bruising largely resolves. Many patients feel comfortable in social settings between two and four weeks.
Months 3–12
Residual swelling settles, scars soften and the final contour becomes apparent over roughly a year.
